Pakloop

Pakloop + RescueGroups.org

Keep RescueGroups.org for your listings. Run the team in Pakloop.

Lots of small rescues use RescueGroups.org to send their adoptable pets to Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet and other adoption sites. Pakloop doesn't replace that. It brings in your animals and runs the part that usually lives in group chats and spreadsheets: who can take the next dog, who's covering the vet run, and how the bill gets paid.

"Can we pull in our historical data?"

It's the first thing rescues ask. Yes: from a spreadsheet, past animals included.

Upload a spreadsheet of your animals

Export your animals from RescueGroups.org as CSV or Excel and upload it. Pakloop matches the columns for you, shows anything it can't read so you can fix it, and matches each animal by its ID, so uploading a newer file updates them instead of adding them twice.

  • Name and animal ID
  • Species and breed
  • Age or date of birth
  • Sex, weight and color
  • Status and intake date
  • Spay/neuter
  • Vaccine dates
  • Microchip
  • Description (becomes the draft bio)

We do the move for you

Send us the files you have. We bring in your animals, rebuild the forms you already use in Pakloop, and walk your team through it. Setup takes about a week.

What stays in RescueGroups.org

  • Your listings on Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet and other adoption sites
  • The adoptable pets feed on your website
  • Your animal records, if you keep them there

What Pakloop adds

The day-to-day running of the rescue: a "Can we say yes?" check before you take in an animal, a Pack Board where needs get claimed by someone nearby, meds reminders for fosters, and vet bills tied to a fundraiser so you can see raised vs. owed.

Questions rescues on RescueGroups.org ask

If we're on RescueGroups.org, can we pull in our historical data?
Yes. Export your animals as a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) and upload it. Pakloop matches the columns for you and brings in past animals too. Upload a newer file later and it updates the animals that are already there instead of adding them twice.
Will our Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet listings change?
No. Keep posting from RescueGroups.org as you do now. In Pakloop, each animal's adoption steps let you tick off where they're listed so nobody wonders if it's done.
Does Pakloop change anything in RescueGroups.org?
No. Pakloop isn't connected to your RescueGroups.org account. It only reads the spreadsheet you upload.
Do we have to keep both up to date?
Your listings stay in RescueGroups.org. Pakloop is where your team runs the day-to-day: fosters, needs, meds and money. To refresh animals in Pakloop, upload a newer export any time. If a direct connection would help your rescue, tell us. Founding rescues help decide what we build next.
What does it cost?
The founding rescue pilot is free. No card, no contract. You keep using RescueGroups.org as you do today.

Your rescue's data stays yours.

  • Your rescue's data is yours. We never sell it.
  • We never contact your adopters, fosters or donors.
  • Only your team and Pakloop's support team can see your rescue's data. We use that access only to set up, support and fix your account.
  • Shelterluv stays untouched. Pakloop only reads from it.
  • We never ask for bank logins or full account numbers.
  • Leave any time: export everything, and we delete it.
