Pakloop ("Pakloop," "we," "us") makes software that helps animal rescues coordinate their people, pets and plans in one place. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email Brittany@pakloop.app.

Who this applies to

This policy covers pakloop.app, the Pakloop app, and the demo. It applies to rescue directors, coordinators, volunteers, fosters, and visitors to our website.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

Account details, like your name, email, phone number, role, and the rescue you belong to.
Rescue information your team adds, like animal profiles, photos, medical and care notes, foster placements, tasks, events, supplies, and expenses.
Messages and posts you share in Pakloop, like Pack Chat messages, Pack Board needs, and updates.
Information you send us directly, like pilot sign-up forms, emails, and feedback.

Information collected automatically:

Basic device and usage information, like browser type, pages visited, and features used, so we can keep Pakloop working and improve it.
Cookies and similar tools needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings.

Payments and donations:

If you pay for Pakloop or a rescue collects donations through Pakloop, payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.

How we use information

To provide Pakloop and its features to you and your rescue.
To show the right information to the right people on your rescue's team.
To send account messages, reminders, and notifications you've chosen to receive.
To power features like Ask Lulu, which may use trusted AI service providers to process the information needed to answer your question.
To keep Pakloop secure, fix problems, and improve how it works.
To respond to your questions and requests.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information.

Within your rescue: information your team adds is visible to members of that rescue based on their role.
Public pages: if your rescue chooses to publish animal profiles or a public rescue page, that content is visible to anyone.
Service providers: we use trusted companies for things like hosting, email, payments, analytics, and AI features. They may only use your information to provide services to Pakloop.
Legal reasons: we may share information if required by law or to protect the safety of people or animals.
Business changes: if Pakloop is part of a merger or sale, your information may be transferred, and this policy will continue to apply.

Third-party content

Our site includes embedded videos from YouTube and links to our Facebook and Instagram pages. Those services have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep information

We keep information while your account or your rescue's account is active. If an account is closed, we delete or anonymize its information within a reasonable time, unless we need to keep some of it for legal, safety, or accounting reasons.

Keeping information safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password and let us know right away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

Your choices

You can view and update your profile information in the app.
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing Brittany@pakloop.app.
You can turn off non-essential notifications in your settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will honor those requests as required by law.

Children

Pakloop is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pakloop grows. If we make important changes, we will update the date above and let account holders know.
